Israel – Exhibit 2.

The information about Israel given in exhibit 2.1 is something that not a lot of us know. The
fact that Israel attracted more venture capital than France and Germany combined in the year
2009 shows the potential of a country that does not have very supportive neighbours.

1 out of every 1,844 is Israelis start a new business in the country and every individual
attracts around 30 times as much venture capital as Europe. This has also led to Israel getting
known as Silicon Valley II.

The best part of the entrepreneurs of Israel is that there is not a lot of difference between the
number of men and women coming up with start-ups. For every hundred Israeli men 64
Israeli women come up with a new economic enterprise. This fact is extremely noteworthy.

The level of entrepreneurship in Israel is third after the US and Canada. leaving behind so
many advanced countries in the level of entrepreneurship. This shows how willing and
dedicated the people of this country are, especially in the field of Technology.

The biggest reason that has come up through the case studies done by a lot of people is the
support and backup given by the government. The socio-political policy helps the budding
entrepreneurs to come up with an idea that will be backed up by the government venture
capital fund which was founded in the year 1992.

Another fact found out through studies is that these entrepreneurial activities have adopted
the military method of working, where they have no hierarchies. This leads to everyone
working together as companions instead of rivals.

The discipline they get is because of the time they have to spend in the military. Every man
must join the military for three years and every woman for two years. This makes them
extremely flexible towards the entrepreneurial world which they might be willing to enter.

Another motivating factor is that's since the 1950s, scientists have had a very positive
influence on the economic development of Israel. The first and the fourth president of Israel
was scientists which led the military of this country to incorporate science and R&D to come
up with high tech military weapons and defence.

All of these together have led to Israel becoming one of the hubs of entrepreneurs.
