Stating willingness
Willingness berarti kesediaan, kemauan untuk melakukan sesuatu. Untuk menyatakan itu kita dapat
menggunakan modal –will/would. Yang berarti akan/mau/sedia. Will dan would memiliki kesamaan.
Perbedaannya adalah Will digunakan untuk bentuk present tense (Sekarang) dan would untuk bentuk
lampau.

Pola umum:

S + Will/would + V1 (+)

S + Will/Would + not + V1 (-)

Will/would + S + V1? (?)

S + willing to + V1...

Are you willing to + V1.....

Contoh:
- I will visit your house.
- She will come to your bithday party.
- They will help you if you want.
- He would go there.
- Mom and Dad would leave the room.
- Dodi will not (won’t) pay the bill.
- Ririn would not (wouldn’t) take part in the competition.
- Will Tina go with Arum tonight? Yes, She will. No, She will not (won’t).
- Would you come here? Yes, I would. No, I wouldn’t

Asking Willingness Showing Willingness

Will you come to my birthday party? Yes, I Will go.

Will you help me? Sure, Why not?

Would you like to going with me to my uncle's Ofcourse, I would.

Unwillingness or Refusal to do something artinya ketidaksediaan / ketidak mauan utk

melakukan sesuatu.
Note: won't = Will not

Examples:

 My father won't me allow to watch music concert at night.

 I'm not willing to help you.

 My bank won't allow me to make international transactions.

 Greg just won't answer the phone.

 The door won't open.

Wouldn't can express unwillingness or refusal in the past:

 I took the phone back to the shop, but they wouldn't give me a replacement.

 Try as I might, the door wouldn't open.

 My brother always helped me with the cooking, but he wouldn't wash the plates and forks.

Simple dialogue:

Maria : Hey Wulan and Fani will you come to my party on weekend ?

Wulan : yes i will come to your party im so excited

Maria : how about you Fani?

Fani : emmm sorry Maria I won't come to your party i need to go with my family
