The cartoon of source A shows a group of western leaders watching a dying black woman suffer

and considering their responses. The author is trying to convey that the refugees in Darfur is in
bad condition and need support as the woman is dying and “waving goodbye”. He also urges the
western nations to provide actual support to those refugees but not just doing nothing while
pretending to be involving for their reputation, they don’t want to “appear rude”.

Both sources suggest that the non-intervention is caused by the misunderstanding of the actual
support that the Rwandans need; EVIDENCE? Both sources suggested that the great powers

non-intervention is caused by consideration of national interest, in source A they willingly refused
to act while in source B the spokesperson has suggestion on how to phrase the response; Both

However, source A suggests that it’s also caused by the great power are not interested in close
investigation of the issue itself while source B claimed that the phrases of “genocide” is carefully
examined and chosen but they chose to not intervene;
