Reflective Essay

I think this group report is just a start in my academic life. It gave me the great
opportunity to work in a group. Our group consisted of four members. The group
members were randomly selected by our module tutor. I felt very unfamiliar with
them since I have little background knowledge about this field of research. First of
all, we introduced with each other on the first day of group formation and discussed
about for group naming. Every group members purposed different name for group.
Finally, we decided appropriate group name as Nova Elite.

At the beginning, we discussed about the topic that could help our country which still
not implemented in our country and could solve some problems of our nation. Each
member had different topics with different opinion. Some of the topics were given to
module tutor for group report but they all were rejected because these all had
already launched in Nepal. According to agreement of all group members, after our
group member Paras Bhujel presented an idea of submitting next topic as Advice
Box App which objective would be to provide advice for those who are lost in
contemporary society by means of suggestion. On the first meeting, we discussed
about how to organize the work to complete the task on time. Therefore, we divided
the task into smaller part and assigned these parts to each team member. I was
responsible for Problems Domain part. To complete this task on time, I researched in
various website, report of different organization and people and also visited in the
different mobile applications which are made for providing advice to those who are
suffering from anxiety, frustration, depression etc. from their various problems.

On the second meeting, all the team members brought their task with some
problems. We shared our problems with each other and tried to solve them. I had
also the problems that what I could include in problems domain part. In our group,
especially Paras Bhujel was a very good contributor of opinion and ideas. He helped
me to complete my task and he also suggested me to include the idea of eliminating
human right humiliation in the problem domain part. I also gave advice to include
motivational tips and video and adding health tips in the problem domain part. At
last, we all merged our work and completed our report.

In conclusion, I found the group work to be a very educational experience concerning

the importance of being able to work well in a team. The main aspect that I would
like to improve is my confidence which will enable me to contribute more of my ideas
to group work. In future, I would like to do my best through the correction of mistake
that I have made and try to manage the time and plan the performance of the task
effectively.
