Everyone wants to live in their own picture perfect world. Where everything goes the way it is supposed
to. Obviously, that can’t ever happen in real life. Which is why we have The Sims 4 to fill that hole in our
lives. As the game’s website suggests, The Sims 4 lets you create whoever you want, build the perfect
home and play around with life. Whatever you want to do, you can do in this game.

For those of you who have been living under a rock, “The Sims 4 is the highly anticipated life simulation
game that lets you play with life like never before. Control smarter Sims with unique appearances,
personalities, behaviors, and emotions. Experience new levels of creativity when you sculpt Sims with
the powerful Create A Sim and design beautiful homes with tactile, room-based Build Mode.” According
to the Sims Wikia.

The Sims 4 is obviously the fourth installment in the game franchise, “The Sims” and apparently, is the
best one yet. It’s available on PC, MAC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. But what makes it different from its
predecessors is the fact that you get to have a lot more fun.

Now, The Sims is a simulation game about life but the highlight of the entire game is actually killing your
sim. In the Sims 3, you could kill your character off by simply drowning them, electrocuting them, using
fire, meteor showers, and starvation, among other things. But in the Sims 4, you can send your Sims off
on a botched space adventure, sacrifice them to a cow plant, overextending their gym time, or,
embarrassing them. That’s right. You can kill a Sim by embarrassing them. Or even making them really
angry or hysterical.

Now, from the start of the creating of your sim, you get to customize it as much as you want. You are
able to decide how big your sim is going to be and how muscular. You can also decide the sizes of
individual body parts to make a more personalized type of sim. Some Sims 4 players describe the
customization process as like ‘molding clay’.

Added bonus, your sim could also be alien rather than just plain, old, boring human. Another fun thing in
the customization is the fact that clothing isn’t restricted by gender. A male sim can dress in a wedding
gown if the user wanted it that way. The player is also in charge of how the sim walks or how deep or
high their voice is going to be. The customization is so in depth that you could pretty much recreate
anyone from the real world into a sim and it would look scarily a lot like the person.

Once your sim has been set up with a house, the real fun starts. One of the best things about the Sims
franchise is the fact that the game allows so many cheats. There are cheats to make you richer, to make
you pregnant, to make you younger or cheats to help you build a really cool house that anyone would be
jealous of. What more can you possibly want?

Apparently, a lot more. The fourth installment also features a gallery where all of your creations can be
viewed. With internet connection, you can view creations uploaded by other users and upload your
own!

Of course, we cannot forget about relationships in the Sims. What fun would it be without a little bit of
woohooing here and there, am I right? The Sims 4 actually allows you to flirt, date, woohoo, and marry
anyone in the game that is romantically inclined to your character.
The Sims has gone a long way from its humble beginnings and is now one of the most iconic video
games ever made. It has opened a lot of doors for creativity, entertainment and comfort for its players,
allowing them to explore another universe that they never thought they could! So props to EA for
creating a game that is friendly to all of its players, old, young, straight, or LGBTQQIAAP!
