The adapter communicates with the patient monitor via RS232 protocol. RS232 cable from the
adapter is simply plugged into the patient monitor to acquire data from it. The adapter is then
connected to the local network via a LAN cable and the data can be easily accessed from anywhere
within the hospital through a PC connected to the same local network.
The patient monitor does not need to be powered off for device-adapter configuration. The RS232
cable can simply be plugged in while the monitor is connected to the patient.
Steps:
1. Connect the RSR232 cable from the adapter to the patient monitor as shown in fig 1.

2. Connect power cable and LAN cable to the adapter as shown in the fig 2.
3. Install the host software on any PC connected to the local network. Select the connected
device and it will display realtime data from the patient monitor.
