Reflection: Sacrament of Healing

It is written in James 5:16 “If you have sinned, you should tell each other what you’ve done. Then
you can pray for one another and be healed. The prayer of an innocent person is powerful and it can
help a lot”. The Sacrament of Healing which is the reconciliation and anointing of the sick, these are two
of the most important sacraments in the church. They have very clear biblical basis as of Jesus Himself
has manifested miracles related to these two sacraments of church. Reconciliation happened many
times in Jesus’ journey for He has forgiven many people as part of changing their lives as a sinner and
Jesus has also healed many sick persons along His journey. This sacrament represents the services and
healing that Jesus gave in Biblical times and it allows Jesus’ healing to be experience by believers after
his death and resurrection.

Throughout our activity, I’ve learned more, more than what I knew before. I learned much and
more deep of what is the true meaning. In Jesus’ journey before was He manifested miracles that
changed the lives of His followers. I’ve realized that I also want to be healed by God, the healing of
having a peaceful life, a healing of having a less sinful live. I want also to be changed by God for I know in
myself that I’ m a sinner and I want to experience Jesus’ healing too.
