IN A NUTSHELL 1
Let’s try this critical thinking question based on what you’ve learned in this lesson.

Question 1. Why is measurement important in our life?

We all know that measurement provides a standard for all things and processes. So,
the weight, temperature, length even time is a measurement, and it does play a
significant role in our lives. Measurement tools make our lives easier and safer while
also improving the quality and quantity of life. It makes our lives easier and more
convenient because if we tried to live without measurement for even a single day, we
would begin to realize how vital measurement is in our daily lives. A typical day would
be impossible to imagine without measurement.

Question 2: What is the importance of using the international systems of units?

The International System of Units is essential because it allows the whole world to
understand measurements in a single set of units rather than converting everyone to
the one we use to compare its worth to the thing we are comparing. It also saves us
from memorizing a large number of units that are all the same size. Another benefit is
that the future of humankind will no longer have to complicate learning all of these
different measurement units and their equivalents. It will also help everyone understand
what people are talking about when they discuss measurements.
