Part 1: ‘¿De dónde eres tú ?’ and ‘¿De dónde es usted?’

Part 2: ‘¿De dónde es él ?’ and ‘¿De dónde es ella?’

¿De donde es él? (Where is he from?)


Él es de Colombia. (He is from Colombia.)

¿De dónde es ella? (Where is she from?)


Ella es de Inglaterra. (She is from England.)

We use the verb 'ser' to ask the question 'Where are you/he/she from?'? We also use the verb
'ser' to answer this question. 'I am from...'
