MINI CASE STUDY (30 points)

When you first joined the company over 6 months ago, you tried to initiate or push with a
number of initiatives and policies that were successful at your last company.  You met quite a bit
of resistance from business line managers (your peers).  You couldn’t seem to move forward
with any of your initiatives.

In a recent conversation with a friend who also worked at the company, he told you that you
came across as knowing what is best for the organization and really didn’t appear to listen to
others. While you had good ideas, you never bothered to understand what would or wouldn’t
work at this company. You seemed to think you knew it all. You need to change everyone’s
perception of you.

Question:

1. What actions do you need to take? (15 points)

 The first thing I should do is to adapt my new environment. In order for me to fit
in, I should be able to know the activities that are happening in the organization.
Second knows my colleagues. Understand each of their personalities for me to
know what would be the best for the benefit of everyone. Third and last is
respecting my colleagues' opinions. I should also consider the fact that it is not all
about me. There are other employees who needs to participate and they should be
given attention also. Always think for the organization and my colleagues also.

2. What issues do you need to anticipate?(15 points)

 I need to anticipate first is the decision I make. If I am taking an action I will
includes my peers, I will ask them if it is okay or if it is good for the company,
and also I will get their opinion too. I should be a good listener, in a way that I
should listen to their different suggestions regarding on the problems in the
organizations. In that way I anticipated that I and my colleagues in the office will
understand each other and no grudge to be held with each other. It's better to work
with two or more than one brain.
