As provided in in Section 2 of Republic Act 7079, otherwise known as the Campus Joumalism Act of 1991, it is the “policy of the State to uphold and Protect the freedom of the press even at the campus level and promote the development and growth of campus joumalism as a means of strengthening ethical values, encouraging critical and creative thinking, and developing moral character and personal discipiine of the Filipino youth.” Thus, various Programs and projects to improve the journalistic skils of students and Promote responsible and free journalism are embarked on. 2.
