Analysis Paper on RA 10533 and Kto12 Framework

The Department of Education is a melting pot of knowledge, as it indulges itself

through a globally competitive system. RA 10533 also known as “Enhanced Basic
Education Act of 2013”is a functional basic education system that will develop
productive and responsible citizens equipped with the essential competencies, skills and
values for both life-long learning and employment. K to 12 framework covers
Kindergarten and 12 years of basic education is to provide sufficient time for mastery of
concept and skills, develop lifelong learners and prepare graduates for tertiary education.
Which tells us that this law and the new framework will ensure every learner’s that we
can attain the quality education that every Filipino people deserves.

The Enhance Basic Education Act of 2013 is great reminder for us that we can
achieve a global standard and a quality education that Filipino learners will truly
appreciate. Beginning stages like kindergarten will honed their basic knowledge in
preparation for Primary school. The first 3 years in Primary school will enhance and will
make learner love and understand their local languages as it teaches Mother Tongue Base
Teaching. The next 3 years is the preparation stage for secondary school. The secondary
school is also 6 years journey which composes of 4 years in junior high where they will
learn a different level of subject and 2 years in Senior in which subject that are thought in
this year’s in linked with the subject of Commission on Higher Education and TESDA
since Senior High School is a preparatory stage for tertiary education. In order for this
law’s vision to attained, the Department of Education conduct its yearly assessment, this
assessment has three system. The first is Classroom assessment entitled policy guidelines
on classroom for K to 12 Basic Education Program, the second is Student Learning
Assessment entitled policy guidelines on the national assessment of student learning for
K to 12 Basic Education Program as it conducted different examination like ELLNA,
NAT and NCAE, the last one is System assessment entitled policy guidelines on system
assessment for K to 12 Basic Education Program. The learning resources that are needed
to make this vision possible are on its way while others are already distributed other
resources are still on going. The Teachers and School heads are being trained with this
new education system to ensure that they follow the standard.

With its fascinating vision, we will be endured that we can achieve the quality
education that we need as the brilliant mind of Filipinos are expanding we also need to
expand our horizon with this new learning system. This new learning system will surely
transform everything and Filipino learners will be the best version of themselves if they
allow themselves to embrace this change.
