COMPARATIVE GOVERNMENT AND POLITICS - Module 1.activity 1
ACTIVITY:
Political science is the systematic study of the allocation and transfer of power n decision
making while politics is the art and science of the government. Political science refers to the
theoretical analysis of all political systems, including their origins, their underlying values and
their goals while politics refers to the state of affairs of a country, including the structure of its
government and the decisions taken by the ruling party.
2. What are the difference between De jure government and De facto government?
Government is an institution through which a leader exercise power to make and enforce laws. It
is where a society organizes itself and allocates authority to achieve common goals and to provide
society as a whole. Among the goals that governments around the world seek to achieve are
economic prosperity for the country, secure national borders, and the safety and well-being and
welfare of citizens.
