Syllabus for 2 Years MA Course

Preamble

In view of the exigencies of scientific and technological development resulting in socio-


economic changes, unpleasant events at political level and at other matters have been
occurring indomitably throughout the globe. In order to promote legal regimes at national
and global perspectives needs have arisen and in so doing, the University has taken all such
essence into account to introduce creative legal education.

Courses of Study

 The syllabus has been designed for the students of Master of Arts (MA) Program in
Islamic History and Culture which is divided into two groups–Group A and Group B
 Group A is designed for the students with a Bachelor Degree (Pass) or Honors in any
other discipline and Group B is designed for the students who have a Bachelor Degree
(Honors) in Islamic History and Culture.
 The Duration of MA Degree Program of Group A is 2 Years divided into 6 (six) Semesters
and Group B is 1 Year divided into 3 (three) Semesters.
 Students of Group A is required to complete 20 Courses including Viva-voce and Term
Paper for a total of 60 credits; while Group B is required to complete 11 Courses
including Viva-Voce and Term Paper for a total of 33 credits.
 Each course contains 100 marks and 3 credits. Marks for Viva-voce and Term Paper
written test are 50 each.
 Distribution of marks of each paper is as follows:

1. Course Final (written) 50 marks


2. Mid-term 20 ”
3. Attendance 10 ”
4. Class Test 10 ”
5. Assignment 10 ”
Total= 100 marks

 Course Final Examination is of 3 (three) hours duration.
