Guidelines for conducting focus group discussion:

1. Prior to conducting FGD, the group must write down the questions they want to ask during the discussion? You
can ask my help to check your questions (not mandatory)
2. The group must gather at least 10 respondents that are part of their target market.
3. You can conduct the FGD via Zoom or through face-to-face meeting, but you must follow basic health protocols.
4. The group must assign a moderator to facilitate the FGD.
5. There must also be a scribe to write down the important points during the discussion.
6. The discussion must be video recorded. The video will be sent to my email.
7. There must also be pictures taken during the discussion. Such will be attached in the Marketing Plan.

Guidelines on writing the Marketing Research for the Marketing Plan.

1. The Marketing Research part must include the steps discussed. Do not write Step 1 as a title of the paragraph.
Instead of Step 1, you should write “Problem, Decision Alternatives, and Research Objectives.”
a. Step 1 should include the marketing problems/issues that will be discussed in the FGD.
b. Step2 should include you plan such as: what kind of data you will gather? How much will be your budget
for the marketing research; what kind of research approach you use in conducting MR; what research
instruments you will use; and what contact method you will use?
c. Step 3 should include the questions you have asked, and the answers provided by the respondents.
Example:
Q1: How often do you eat sweet foods?
R1: 3 times a day
R2: once a week

R10: every other day
d. Step 4 should include analyses of the answers made by the respondents.
e. Step 5 and 6 (not included).
2. You should attach the pictures taken during the FGD. Arrange them chronologically.
