A train carries an artificially produced virus, which is extremely

dangerous. If the virus is released into the atmosphere, thousands of people

will die because of it. George is one of the scientists responsible for the
safe destruction of the virus, and monitors the transport from a bridge. As
the train approaches, he sees through binoculars that a powerful bomb has
been placed on the railroad tracks, and there is no way to communicate this
information to stop the train in a timely manner. If the train passes the
bomb, then it will explode and the virus will be released into the
atmosphere, producing catastrophic consequences. On the bridge, next to
George, is an obese person. The only way to stop the train is for George to
push the person in front of the train, although that will bring him death.
George continues with this plan and pushes the obese person in front of the
train, causing his death, but he prevents the explosion and saves thousands
of people who would have died due to the virus.

First of all I want to say that George was very brave. He had
such a responsibility: to choose between two choices but both were not too
good. So this can be called sacrifice. A sacrifice is the act of giving up on
something valuable to you in order to help someone else. He had to
sacrifice from one side to solve the problem and he had less time for this.
To save the thousand of people including him from disaster he chose to
sacrifice with one obese person. So he saved the whole humanity from
death instead of one death.
I don’t know if I could I do the same as George did but he was courageous.
George was a saviour despite of what he did. And how he would live with
the thought that he killed somebody will be a problem for him.
But on the other side everybody has the right to live. No one can
take this right from anyone and George didn’t have to push that person in
front of the train. He had to think of himself, why he could not take the
responsibility for his own live and why he didn’t jump in front of the train
but he took somebody’s live.
