ABSTARCT

Topic- “Women Empowerment: It’s Uses and Abuses”


“There is no chance for the welfare of the world unless the condition of women is
improved. It is not possible for a bird to fly with one wing.”

According to 2011 census women constituted 48.5% of total Population in the nation and there is
not denying to fact that since ancient times when women have been compared to goddesses in
our country, ironically they have been treated like rags. Although there is a huge difference the
way women were looked at 70 years ago and today. The government of India has been enacted
several laws and formulated number of policies to empower the women but still that’s are not
implemented properly because the crime against women are increasing day to today, and always
women are tortured by the society, and they are still deprived certain rights which they deserve
as men. However the judiciary and legislative always tried to its best to empower the females of
the country.

But when we talk about the uses and abuses of Women empowerment it’s very critical to say
whether the women who are regularly struggle to live in society can they abuse or use the law?
This study will be developed to find out the answer of the above mentioned question. So that the
researcher had discussed several literature of relevant topic, number of legislation which give
empower to women as well as judicial pronouncement of Apex court.
