A. You are a manager at a restaurant in the United States. A customer wants to speak
with you. Go to his/her table, introduce yourself, and see if there is something you can help
him/her with.
B. You are on holiday at a restaurant in the U.S. You had a horrible experience at the
restaurant. Think of problems that you can complain about. Then talk to the manager of the
restaurant, tell him/her your problems, and try to get a refund or any other kind of benefit.

A. You are a new manager. One of the members of your team has come to your office to
talk about a task he/she has failed.
B. You are a new employee and you failed in meeting the deadline for your main
assigned part of the project. Discuss with the manager, explain what happened and ask for
solutions.

A. Your best friend has just had a terrible experience abroad in the location that you had
previously recommended to him/her. He/ She will come to complain about different matters (find
the issues yourself).
B. You recommended to your best friend to go to a new and beautiful location, according
to you, and advised to spend his/her vacation there. Now he/she is complaining
about…………….(youe own choices) but it wasn’t your fault at all.

Use different types of conditional to express yourself.

Type 0 -> for general truths : If you mix yellow with blue you get green.
Type 1-> for a possible condition and its probable result: If you always get late, you
will/can/might be fired.
Type 2 -> for a hypothetical condition and its probable result
-> for pieces of advice : If you were me, you would do the same thing.
Type 3 -> for an unreal past condition and its probable result in the past: If it
hadn’t been for your mobile phone, you wouldn’t have reached the destination.
