Draft a form of tabulation to show :


a) gender
b) Three ranks – supervisors, assistants and clerks,
c) Years – 2018 and 2019.
d) Age group – 18 years and under, over 18 but less than 55 years, over 55
years.
2.In a trip organized by a college, there were 80 persons, each of whom paid
Rs 15.50 on an average. There were 60 students, each of whom paid Rs 16.
Members of teaching staff were charged at a higher rate, the number of
servants (all males ) was six, and they were not charged anything. The number
of ladies was 20 per cent of the total, and there was only one lady staff
member. Tabulate this information.
Answer –

3. Present the following information in a suitable form supplying the figure


not directly given. In 2004, out of a total of 4000 workers in a factory 3300
were members of a trade union. The number of women workers employed
was 500 out of which 400 did not belong to any union.
In 2003, the number of workers in the union was 3450 of which 3200 were
men. The number of non-union workers was 760 of which 330 were women.

4. Of the 1125 students studying in a college during a year, 720 were Delhi
students, 628 were boys, and 440 were science students. The number of Delhi
boys was 392, that of boys studying science 262; finally, the number of science
students among the Delhi girls was 48. The number of male students studying
non-science subjects were 279. Enter these frequencies in a three-way table
and complete the following by obtaining the frequencies of the remaining
cells.
