The graph illustrates the amount of individuals of Chile in
three different groups of ages over the course of 60 years
starting from 1975. As can be seen from the given line graph, it is clearly evident that the number of people under 15 years old experienced a downward trend. Meanwhile, Chile’s population by age group from 15-64 years old and over 65 years old witnessed an upward trend, and the middle group age was the highest figure among three different group over the course of time frame. Looking at the graph more closely, it is immediately obvious that the number of individuals of the oldest group stood at around 5% in 1975 and increased gradually to approximately 15% in the end of the course in 2035. In contrast, the percentage of Chile population by age group from 15-64 years old rise slightly about by 8% from 52%, despite the fluctuation in the middle of the course. The amount of individuals in group under 15 years old plunged significantly from about 40% to roughly 18% in 2035.
