Question a: What are the problems that you can find from the case study?

Ans:
The first problem when implementing omnichannel is inventory visibility. This refer
to the management is unable to get information regarding their inventory levels
quickly and accurately. When expanding into different channel, the volume of sales is
faster, more incoming deliveries, and more security issues. This makes it difficult to
track the inventory in real time. This would impact the organisation in terms of their
stock level. There is a higher chance of inventory oversupply or undersupply when
they are not able to accurately track their stock level. Poor inventory visibility means
that the online order can only be fulfilled from the distribution center. They would not
be able to fulfil the order from the stores if the distribution center has no stock since
they do not have a good visibility of their inventory.
