We live in an age when the society that we know and we belong is

evolving day by day, raising its standards and becoming an amazing and a
modern place. So, for the new members of the society, the process of integration
could be really hard, and that could push them to do bad things. In this essay I
will discuss two possible reasons why young people start committing crimes.
The first of these is the lack of control by parents. If teenagers do not have
a firm discipline from a model, it is sure that some kids will get into trouble.
Youth is the most difficult period for a person, because you have to discover
yourself by facing a lot of problems, and if you don’t have the necessary support
and attention from your parents, you will get stuck at some point and that could
push you to do unpleasant things, like committing crimes.
A second reason is the influence of friends. Especially in the absence of a
model, which is usually given by parents, young people end up being influenced
by those around them without realizing it. Furthermore, not only those who
don’t have a model get to commit crimes, but also those who have a solid
education from their parents. So, selecting your circle of friends is crucial.
Rarely will you see a good person between offenders.
In my view, the lack of control by parents is one of the main reasons why
young people commit crimes, but the influence of your friends has a bigger
impact. If you have a solid education from your parents but your friends are
criminals, you will definitely end up like them.
