Our Vision is to reach, train, empower children, youth and
teaching staff with knowledge, skills and abilities that benefit
the community and the Nation as they become noble in
character and stature.
Our Purpose is embedded in our name, the Bereans. In Acts
17:11 the people of Berea were a people of noble character.
We therefore purpose to train children to become young
men and women of noble character.
Bereans school is a Christian school that desires to build a
strong Christian foundation in academics and character. The
philosophy is traditionally Christian and aims at training
Christian character, teaching the children to be articulate,
knowledgeable and excellent in their academics.
Our primary goal is to bring a child to the knowledge of GOD
and help them to grow in CHRIST. We seek to provide an
environment of grace that allows for imperfections and
struggles yet aims for excellence. (Romans 3:21-26)
CHRIST is the beginning and the end of all things (Colossians
1:17) and the children will be instructed as such enabling
them to understand that all aspects of life begin and end with
GOD.
Every child is fearfully and wonderfully made and will be
instructed to bring out their gift and talent and calling as a
child. (Psalm 139)
We seek to encourage and nurture fellowship and strong
partnership with the parents and guardians of the child.

Mission.
Our mission is to reach, train and empower children, youth
and teaching staff in all the six learning areas of social
emotional development, communication language and
literacy, problem solving, knowledge of the environment,
creativity and physical development while integrating these
learning areas with the biblical worldview.
Our Children will be instructed through the national
curriculum in the ways of the LORD emphasizing their
different abilities and skills, so they are confident, well-
articulated, responsible, respectful and outstanding.

CURRICULUM.
Bereans school intends to use the Uganda National
Curriculum because it is very much needed in our society and
it is very rich in and of itself.
This Curriculum aims at enabling the students to develop
competences and like skills for life and eternity. It
emphasizes the importance of literacy, numeracy, language
development, values and attitudes and continuous
assessment. It advocates for child centered learning activities
that enable self-confidence.
This curriculum has three phases, the Lower Primary,
transition and Upper Primary Curriculum. Each phase has its
own structures and learning outcomes. The different class
interests, the abilities of the different age groups, monitoring
the learning stages and assessment of learners are very key
in each phase. They also enable feedback on the progress of
the learner.
Our focus as we begin is the Lower primary or Thematic
curriculum. It is called so because the content is arranged
around themes that are familiar to the students. The use of
