On further inspection, crack was noticed on the valve body lug of Main Rotor | collective actuator of system 2 and the failure of this lug resulted in the leakage | of the hydraulic oll from O-ring interface. Reason Effective Date Forthwith Compliance For all civil ALH in operation: vii. vil, ix, Note: To be accomplished within 05 Flight hours after receipt of ASB No. 201 291 A480 Rev A dated 22/10/2020, Ensure castle nuts on the system 2 valve body mountings on all three MRAs (Pitch, roll & collective) are intact. In-situ visually inspect for any crack on the valve body mounting lugs of all the three system-2 MRAs and inspect for any physical damage (crack) on the three main rotor actuators. If crack noticed report to HAL. If crack is not noticed carryout checks from v to vii or vii Connect electrical power supply to Helicopter. Pull out Hyd-1 CB and Hyd-2 CB in the overhead panel. Connect external hydraulic trolley and slowly increase the pressure to 206 + 4 bar for both system-1 and system-2 ‘a. Operate collective stick end to end for 25 cycles and observe for any external leak from collective actuator. b. Repeat the above operation for pitch & roll circuits. In case external ground trolley is not available at forward base locations, carry out Ground run for 10 minutes, post ground run check for external leak in the arealzone of the three main rotor actuators. If any abnormalities noticed during above checks, report to HAL. Ref. Publications.
