 Improved pre-departure training: As it consists of cultural awareness training along
with other preliminary visits, language training, practical assistance, security briefings.
So, the mentioned component of pre-departure training must need to be improved to keep
the expatriate’s turnover rate lower.

 Improved selection and procedures: Selecting a right people who is actually capable of
adapting any culture, has knowledge of different language and has no high emotional
attachments for their family.
 Family support: Assistance locating schools for children, Training for local culture’s
customs (family), child care providers, assistance locating spousal employment.

2. According to me the most effective approach of training for expatriates is role-playing


compared to other two approaches. Role-playing allows the trainee to act out of a situation
that he or she might face in living or working in the host country. This may help a trainee
to adopt and understand the obstacles may arise in the host country such as language, lack
of different culture skills, family pressure and other non-work conditions like living,
housing and health care.
