HiPath DAKS 2.0

Digital alarm and communication server

The demands currently placed on mod-

ern telecommunications go far beyond
simply making telephone calls. Tele-
phones are becoming mobile terminals
(HiPath cordless Enterprise) and confer-
ences extend point-to-point connections,
making telephony part of more complex
systems.
The HiPath structure caters for these de-
mands in a variety of ways and, with its
components, offers a communication so-
lution that can be tailored to local needs.
The digital alarm and communication
server (HiPath DAKS) is a key element in
this system concept.
This is mainly used for:
● broadcasting, alarms, notifications
through announcements and text
messages,
● conferences convened by telephone,
controlled via Internet/Intranet or sup-
ported by an operator,
● announcement services, multichannel
open listening in the case of tele-
phone events,
● personal calls/group calls,
one-number-service, intelligent call
distribution.
It is as easy to incorporate HiPath DAKS
in the telecommunication infrastructure
as to install an additional telecommunica-
tion node.
The open interfaces of HiPath DAKS (se-
rial, LAN and contacts) allow external
system problem-free access to the tele-
communication network, so that, for ex-
