Summer Training Notice

Notice for Summer Training at Tata Motors Lucknow for the year 2011

Engineering Applicants:
• The following branches will be considered for training: Mechanical,
Industrial, Production, Manufacturing, and Automobile Engineering,
Metallurgy, Electrical & Electronics.
• The candidates need to be in the Third year of Engineering (5th semester
onwards.). No training will be provided to second year students (candidates
who are in the third or fourth semester).
• The candidate needs to have a minimum of 60% all through his/her
academic life. (X std, XII std and each of the semesters).
• Computer Science / Information Technology applications are not accepted
for training in Tata Motors. Such candidates should contact M/s Tata
Technologies Ltd (TTL) Lucknow (our single window IT Service Provider) for
training.
• There is no scope of training in Tata Motors for Polymer, Aerospace,
Marine, Chemical, Ceramic, Biotechnology and Mining Engineering.

Management Applicants:
• The following branches will be considered for training: HR and Operations.
• The candidate needs to have a minimum of 60% all through his/her
academic life.
• No training will be provided to marketing and Finance Students .

Training will be provided as per the following terms and conditions:-

a) The Company shall not provide accommodation.


b) The candidate will be permitted to avail the canteen and transport services
provided by the Company on payment
c) During the training period, the candidate will be required to report at 9:00
am on all working days to the concerned project guide. Leave taken would have to
be duly authorized by the departmental head.

Process of application

1. The application has to be made in a standard format only; the applicants


are requested to mail on summertraining@tatamotors.com requesting for
the Application form with the subject “request for application form” and
would receive a blank form as a reply.
2. Application in any other format will not be entertained.
3. The applicants are requested to fill this form and send back with the
subject “filled up application form”.
4. If your application is entertained and has been short listed, you will get a
confirmation form which is required to be filled and mailed back with the
subject as “confirmation form”. This mail would be sent to the applicants
after the date of closure of applications is 15th March 11.
5. Duration of the training will be either 4 weeks, 6 weeks or 8 weeks. Any
other duration will not be entertained.
6. The date of the commencement and duration of training can not be
changed once confirmation mail has been sent.
Selections:

1. Number of Summer Trainees to be engaged to be limited and will dependent


on the projects given by the departments.
2. All trainees will be selected on the basis of academic performance. The
candidate has to have a minimum of 60% marks all throughout his/her
academic life. ( i.e. Xth std, XII std & each semester )
3. A list of final selected trainees would depend on a Cut off percentage-To
be released on 15th march
Note: Management would take the final decision on candidates being awarded the
training programme.

Important Dates:

January – March Receipt of Applications for Summer Training. 15th March


last date of application submission.
April Short-listing of candidates for the summer training process
and information to short listed candidates.
May Start of Summer Training
