Abstract: Freshwater shrimp are macroinvertebrates was naturally live in water

(indigenous residance). Freshwater shrimp habitat includes all waters from rivers,
swamps, to lakes. This research was conducted at 3 Resorts of Alas Purwo National
Park, that is Rowobendo Resort, Grajagan Resort and Pancur Resort. Determination of
sampling locations was done by purposive sampling from downstream to upstream. We
has collected 254 species consisting of 9 species from two families that is
Palaemonidae and Atydae. The Palaemonidae family consists of 5 species, namly
Macrobrachium lar, Macrobrachium australe, Macrobrachium latimanus,
Macrobrachium latydactylus and Palaemon concinnus. The Atydae family consists of 4
species, namely Caridina gracilipes, Caridina serratirostris, Caridina typus, and
Atyopsis spinipes. The diversity index of freshwater shrimp in Alas Purwo National
Park is moderate (1,792). Alas Purwo National Park has ideal abiotic conditions for the
life of freshwater shrimp. The morphology of each species will be discussed briefly in
this paper.
