Introduction to Social Movements

ACTIVITY 1

Think of your Video Resume as if you are personally (and physically) telling us about
yourself. It must contain the following:
1. Your Introduction. Start your video with a greetings. Then, state your name and
briefly tell us ANYTHING about you (e.g. your hobbies, what keeps you busy
during quarantine/study from home, your aspirations, etc.)
- Ola! I am Jay-an Castillon. I am a third-year Political Science student. I
enjoy watching video essays about films. I casually write poems. And I
tend to give unsolicited opinions…sometimes.
2. Your Selling Point. This is where you tell us your intentions and reasons why you
have chosen POLITICAL SCIENCE as a course, and why this subject is relevant
to your course.
- I have chosen PolSci because I am interested in the fields that this
discipline explores. Like this subject, I find them very important in
understanding history and socio-political dynamics. Plus, it improves my
critical thinking skills.
3. Your Call to Action. At this point in the video, you'll have a strong closing. Tell us
what are your expectations from this class and what do you think are the
learning/s you will get and may use in your future endeavours and profession.
- For this class, I am expecting to learn about the theories I can use to
understand social movements: why we have them and what are its
essential impact to society? I also expect an interactive class. Pero
knowing PolSci students, expected jud ang disagreements! See you!
