Idoc :

Idoc is a data container it is an instance of idoc type. Idoc type is a collection

of segments. Each
segment is a collection of fileds.

It contains 3 parts.

1.control record: source and destination and idoc type etc.

Idoc failed due to payer isnot extended to sales area.

Cxed error - Container number not matched. Archive the idoc and send mail to
business to retrigger.

Involved in mapping new fields from EDI to Idoc and tothe SAP tables.

we use idoc enhancements as per client business requirement to capture addnl fiedls
which is not there in the standard system. To populate additional fields to the new
segments of idoc enhancement the reqd logic
need to written in the user exists of inbound functional module.
