Executive summary
Problem statement: Majority of the rural people of Keyamba is poor and mountainous and
characterized by steep slopes, which are unsuitable for agriculture,Soil erosion is marked by
ever-expanding gullies and severely limits the cultivated area.Weldiya is the capital of the
Semien Wollo Zone, and woreda in northern Ethiopia. Located north of Dessie and southeast of
Lalibela in the Amhara Region, this town has an elevation of 2112 meters above sea. keyamba is
one of the kebele of gubalafto wereda and located west of weldiya at estimate 20 km far from
weldiya. In Ethiopia, it have serious problem related to road construcation as well as acess of
social services both in urban and rural areas.rural communites are not attached with the
surrounding woreda town by major services, they are separeted. this extreme problem affect the
life of the rural socitey interms of social, political and economical issues, even the urban
deveiopment is challnged due to exclusiveness. this project focus on rural road construction in
general and specifically on Keyamba to Weldiya road construction is very quite interesting. This
keble have been impoverish by infrastructure, in adequate social services sucas hospitality,
school, markting. peoples of this kebele must go 20 km away from thier home by foot to get a
service like hospitality, for education, goverement issues, marketing and other related issues.
Seriously, hospitality is very badish, serving in emergence or for other immidate action are not
minded. I know that in every year how many people lose thier soul in street and pregnant mother
are being died. this road was desigin before six or seven year ago, but with out succesion and
service it going today. there is no Asphalt Cement,bituminous material, generally liquid, used for
softening, and other materials. based on the above mention cause the road is no give any service.

Water is the main contributor to the wear and damage of low-volume rural roads. It can be in the
form of ground water, surface water (streams and rivers) by erosion,depositing soils (silting) that
obstruct the passage of water.So this project aims to solve the problems keyemba people that ties
with economical ,social, political exclusiveness as well as education. Socially, it facilitate the
daily rotations that the rural people and urban peoples intrac each othe.It increasese the
participation of communites with in descion making and concerning national issues in politcal
aspects.Economically to tied the basic source of income and bring in market, generally this is
important in all other part of our country, because it facilitate the development of the national
interest.The protecting and promoting health of my locality is another big goal of this project.

Project objectives: this project is being taken so that the rural peoples can get acess of
transportation and reduce their problem by construct road with lower expenditure.

Project duration: this project will take about 2 years to complete.

Total budget : 10 crore taka(BDT)

Background
The rural poor have been more marginalized than the urban poor in our country. They are

deprived from all kinds of facilities. Specially in Ethiopian context transportation is the major

problems does not solve in long time experience neither the urban nor the rural, above 80% of

the rural people they live based on unchanged life boat.Our social ,economical and political

system seems like to the preivious exclude the invoivement of ordinary people and peasants. The
rural peaseants they did not use once time the past dynamics change of political system including

today. As a countrys like Ethiopia is that the source of subsistance is agriculture must be give

attention for rural societes and by improving community development program should be follow

inclusive and participatory development projects by rising the benifit of the the mass such as

access social services, education, and engageing in decsion making role.This kind of

development direction is relevant and most developed nation passed on this method, they calls it

sometimes people first approach. I think when we apply it can play the important role to our

development. The direct contribution of transportation to human capital formation and socio-

economic development is unquestionable and well recognized. transportation is essential for

rural people to allivate so many problems. Moreover, Uhealthy people are usually poor because

they cannot work to earn a living. They are usually malnourished and susceptible to diseases and

therefore unable to work either in the fields in rural areas or work in factories in the cities, and

are therefore unable to obtain food, shelter, and clothing. Thus, they become poor, and because

they are poor and they cannot obtain adequate healthcare and become unhealthy and sick and

eventually they become poorer. That is why such type of project has been taken.

Project justification:
Problem statement: The poor people of our country are neither capable of bearing their health
expenditure nor conscious of health, nutrition, and sanitation. Pervading poverty is, therefore, a
major challenge for ensuring health care for the growing number of population. Almost of our
rural population do not get healthy medical service. They deprived of whether money or political
problems that is why they remains sick over the yeras.

Priority needs: Due to huge number of population, Bangladesh faces double burden of diseases:
Diabetes, Hypertension, Stroke, Chronic respiratory diseases, HIV, Tetanus, Malaria, Measles,
Rubella, leprosy and so on

So this has been realized and to improve the health condition of those diseases affected people.

Proposed approach: in hospital building there will be individual department for treatment of
each diseases. Then the people will get good and easy service which they need only.

Implementing organization:
The implementation company of this project is Bangladesh industrial research and development (
BIRD). This is very renowned construction company. This group started its journey in 2009.
This company already completed several buildings such as NAM apartment building at
nakhalpara, K.S tower gazipur, Singapore market in Chittagong.so we have selected this builders
company for their good reputation on several buildings survey.

beneficiaries
The main beneficiaries of the project are the road users, the
populations of the project area as well as the economic operators.

Project goal:
this project has some specific goals such as  to improve the conditions and contexts of rural poor
people ,children and women’s health and the benefits that will accumulate when men and
women are able to participate in working environment including support to achieve sustainable
development between men and women. Moreover local public may stay healthy and happy for
long time. Moreover , to ensure our rural women health safely. Because we know that in every
year thousands of mother are being died because of negligence. So protecting their health and
life of my locality is another big goal of this project.

Project objectives:

We have some objectives for building up a hospital.

• Increase the range of services wherever my local people fall in diseases they will get
opportunities according tto their need and demand.

• Provide a safe and therapeutic environment for all patient, staff and visitors

• Increase overall satisfaction rates of patients, employees and visiting medical officers

• Achieve patients satisfaction.

• To decrease the number of patients.

• Promoting highly-advanced medical treatment (transplantation medicine, functional
surgery, tailor-made medicine relying on genetic analyses, etc.).

• Promoting medical cooperation between local hospitals.

Target group:
The target group of this project is rural people. Basically this project is taken for the medical
service of my locality. Specially those who are poor and cannot bear the expensive medical cost
of renowned hospital. And beside this all kinds of people regardless ethnicity, minority and
others. Here all division of ages, occupation, gender will get the services. No discrimination
would place here.
Project implementation:
Project implementation is very crucial part of a project. This project will be started in 18 july
2019 and finished 30 june 2021. That means it may take about two years. The implementation of
the project will complete one after another. The Work Break down Structure is a checklist of
every activity that must be performed to create the end product. The implementing company will
complete the project activities. A project implementation can be divided into two : 1. Activity
plan 2. Resource allocation

Activity plan:

18 june 2019 to 25 0cttober 2020: construction of hospital building , Bird company will do this
construction.

26 october to 10 november : After constructing the hospital building there need to connect

electricity (light, fan, air-cooler, Wifi connectivity, computer connectivity), plumbing which

done by, BIRD electronics.

11 november to 18 april : Advertisement for searching employement of hospital including

doctors,lab,cleaners, staff and so on.

19 april to 16 may : purchasing the equipment of hospital.

17 may 10 june : checking again of all activities.

Monitoring and evaluation:

Monitoring can be defined as the ongoing process by which stakeholders obtain regular feedback
on the process being made towards achieving and objectives.

Evaluation is a rigorous and independent assessment of either completed and ongoing activities
to determine the extent to which they are achieving stated objectives and contributing to decision
making.
After completing the project measure the failure and success of the project, that call evaluation.

Evaluation may follow a process-

this will help to run the project in a new way or manure.

Process review- there are some reasons for conducting periodic project process Review For
improving project performance, if that is the periodic performance,this will review in every
month or quarterly

Ensure the quality of the project work. So that the manager can check easily about the
improvement and the situation of work.

If the evaluation process run in a regular manure, then the problems of the project can reveled
early.

By evaluation the project manager can get the idea about the running of different projects.

When the project evaluation report will publish the project manager have to check the
commitment of the project. Because this project manager will look after the total project
The project evaluation report give a complete status of the project. This also forecast about the
benefit of the project. If there remain any risk for running the project then there need to find out
the solution. After all this the final report will publish, that contain, success, limitations, and all
things that need or need not.
