bus, I saw a few poor people without any jobs, no homes and very less water to drink. I felt very sad for them and I was in a new school too. Half year passed by seeing and feeling sad. Then at last, one of my friends told we have two events at school which we children can do to help the poor. Those are coins for the country and street store. In coins for the country we earn and donate money to the poor. We earn money by helping our parents and by doing more good things like doing handicrafts and selling them etc. In street store we give wearable, old dresses to the poor for them also to have comfortable dresses. Me and my friends participated in collecting and segregating the clothes for distribution. Also, we collected as much coins that we could earn to help the needy. After doing this I was very happy because my school is trying to help the poor. This is related to Sarvodaya – meaning “the welfare of all”, one of the mantras of Mahatma Gandhi Ji. Few days later, while I was travelling by my school bus, I saw a girl wearing a dress we donated. This made me happier. Moral: When we share, equality comes and this can make world a better place.
