1. Go to http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/ and find your TV's support page. (It's easiest to use the Find my
device tool, but using the Search box will also present you with the support page among the search results for
your TV's model code).

2. Scroll down and click on the firmware upgrade file (choose the one suited to USB drives if more than one is
available) to download it to your PC. Then click the appropriate link below and follow the steps therein to
upgrade your TV:

If the fifth character in your TV model code is an 'H', as in UE40H5000AK, or your model code is KE55S9CST,
then click here to read the Firmware Upgrade Guide for H range TVs (TVs released in 2014).

If the fifth character in your TV model code is an 'F', as in UE46F5300AK or UE40F5300AK, then click here to
read the Firmware Upgrade Guide for TVs for F range TVs (TVs released in 2013).

If the fifth character in your TV model code is an 'E', as in UE46EH5000K or UE46ES7000S, then click here to
read the Firmware Upgrade Guide for TVs for E range TVs (TVs released in 2012).

If the fifth character in your TV model code is 'D', 'C' or 'B', for example as in PS51D495A1K, the
please follow the steps below for TVs released in 2011 and earlier. The images used below will
differ slightly from those on your TV.

3. Insert the USB memory drive containing the firmware into the USB port of your TV.

4. Turn on the TV and wait for one or two minutes.

5. Press the MENU button on your remote control and then select Support, Software Upgrade, and then By
USB.

6. The message for searching for update files will display. If the TV finds a valid firmware version it will display
a message that prompts an update. Select Yes. The update will take place and then the TV will restart.
