One technology that caught my attention was Neuralink which is a device that will be used for

the first time to help paraplegics perform simple tasks, such as using an iPhone or clicking a
mouse on a computer, without making any physical movements. This device is being
developed by the team of Elon Musk however human testing has not begun. So far, Neuralink
prototypes have been tested on rodents and, apparently, even on a monkey, according to
Musk.

Neuralink wants to be a computer inside everyone's brain, one that we don't have to carry in
our hand and that is undetectable in use. While Elon Musk probably likes the idea of helping
paraplegics, he seems to like nothing better than trying to improve on the artificial intelligence
we know today, and he believes Neuralink will do just that.

Neuralink is certainly a groundbreaking project, something to be expected from Elon Musk. His
tendency to focus on the future makes others see the great potential of this technology or
technologies like it. I am very anxious to imagine more of what it will bring for the future of
human intelligence and even more excited about how scientists will use it in their respective
academic fields.
