1. Define the following

a. Ethics

c. Bioethics
d. Health Ethics
e. Professional Ethics

a. ETHICS - With my prior knowledge, i simply define and understand

ETHICS as an idea about what you should or should not do as an

individual living in a society or in other words ethics concerned with

distinguishing between good and evil in the world, between virtuous and

non-virtuous characteristics of people and between right and wrong with

every human actions. I remember the word “unethical”, it is well used

during our finished ethics subject and I recall what our professor says the

meaning of the word “unethical” basically means that it is seen as

something one should not do.

b. BIOLOGY - Biology is the study of life which examines how living things

interact, how systems function and how they function at a molecular level.

study the form and structure of organisms; PHYSIOLOGY study the normal

functions of organisms and their parts; lastly the ANATOMY which study

the body structures of organisms, behavior origin and distribution.

engagement that deals with professional responsibilities and

professionalism like what I've said as health care provider and bioethics is

the approach and application of ethics to medicine and all health

professions, living things, and life sciences. BIO meaning life and ETHICS

meaning a way of acting we can come to the conclusion that bioethics

deals with the combination of the natural laws of life and the set ethics of

how one should live their life.

d. HEALTH ETHICS - Health care ethics define as application of the core

principles of bioethics which is autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence

and justice to medical and health care decisions. It is a multidisciplinary

lens through which to view complex issues and make recommendations

regarding a course of actions.

e. PROFESSIONAL ETHICS - Based on what i understand,

PROFESSIONAL ETHICS is a code of conduct that applicable to different

professions we have today and affirmed by the authorize members of such

profession or professional organizations. The true philosophy of

possessing professional ethics is to make the persons performing in such

jobs to follow the sound, uniform ethical conduct. I will give an example of

Hippocratic Oath and still, it is adhered even up to this day. That's how i

view professional ethics Ma'am.

3. What are the importance of Bioethics and explain.

Bioethics is indeed important especially to the healthcare practice because by

possessing bioethics in this kind of field, the health workers will become fully aware

of the medical practice as well as it enrich their ability to further understand the

patient as a person. I will now explain the ethical side of bioethics. By possessing

bioethics in this field, health workers were now able to follow an ethical code when

working with patients which was once a problem. Ethical problems had a clear

connection to problems in health care, so by the emergence of bioethics, the

healthcare of our country has been significantly improved. Like for example in the

field of medicine, it is important because medicine is ethically challenging. The

practices are full of ethical implications and ethical dilemmas. So by having

bioethics will help medical professionals ensures that medical practices and

procedures benefit society as a whole. Also bioethics contributes to the rights and

responsibilities of patients as persons.
