Mother’s day in Colombia

Mother's Day is a celebration honoring the mothers. It celebrates

motherhood and also recognizes and appreciates mothers’ roles in our
lives.
It is an annual event that takes place on the second Sunday of May and it is
celebrated in many parts of the world.
In Colombia normally mothers receive handmade cards which are created
and designed by theirs sons at the schools. Radio stations replay songs that
talk about the motherhood, the importance of the mothers in our society
and some other sad songs that expresses that hard feeling that they left
when they passed away. And It is also common to see how their husbands
invite them go out to dance or to have a dinner that day.
