T he ability to craft quality wines year after year is an art that combines love of
the land and human creativity, a long tradition and cutting edge technology.
Our location in the heart of Israel and our warm, longstanding relationship
with winegrowers affords us the choicest grapes that arrive at the winery with
perfect timing. During the harvest, the most crucial stage of the winemaking
process, winegrowers and Binyamina’s team, headed by our winemakers, work
together to ensure the winery receives the finest raw material—grapes with
the desired attributes and optimal levels of flavor extraction. We are meticulous
about investing effort and methods in working the land, enhancing varieties and
matching them to the most suitable growing regions, while using cutting edge
technology in wine production processes.
The winery started out as a perfume factory, established in 1925 by Baron de
Rothschild, and the impressive original building today houses our Visitors
Center. Perfume was replaced by wine and the Eliaz Winery was founded in 1952.
In 1994 its name was changed to Binyamina Winery and its image underwent
comprehensive changes in order to effect a totally new perception of its wines
and their quality. Since then we have been forging ahead, ever sensitive to
changes, developments and nuances in the world of wine and in the industry,
and ever striving toward innovation while preserving tradition. In 2008 the
winery was acquired by a group of Israeli investors who identify with its vision
and continue to lead it down the path of excellence.
Binyamina produces five wine labels: "The Chosen", "Binyamina Reserve", "Yogev"
"Bin" and "Teva". We also create and produce unique wines in limited and varying
amounts, one of which is our Tiltan label. The diverse range of wines under our
various labels provides wine lovers with a broad spectrum of flavors and aromas,
textures and colors, and a host of marvelous excuses to pop a cork, open a bottle
and raise a glass of wine.
For us, winemaking is not simply a job; for us – it’s the labor of love.
And we know that you can feel our love from the very first sip.
 The Chosen wines are made from the highest quality grapes that were creatively
incorporated into a work of art that reflects our aspiration to produce exciting
wines. The uniqueness of these wines derives from the use of choicest quality
raw material – the grapes - and the special production processes that went into
creating a wine label with a quality reserved for handcrafted wines.

An Enchanting Wine
The word BIN is an Australian term to describe quality stocks of wine kept in a
particular part of the barrel cellar. These stocks were stored in special areas in
wine cellars of homes, wineries and pubs that were known as the “wine bin”. The
BIN label includes four wines, two reds – Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and
two whites – Muscat and Chardonnay.

 The Teva label (Teva in Hebrew means “nature” and "character") was created out
of the belief in a natural love of wine and is designed to connect a person’s
nature, inclinations and moods with a wine that matches his personality and

aromas that provide different and pleasing wine experiences for every occasion -
and for every mood.

 In the pastoral setting of the Har Horshan Nature Reserve in the Carmel Mountains
lies an ancient cave whose walls reflect stories from the history of the Land of
Israel. This cave is home to The Cave Winery. Ideal humidity levels have turned the
cave into a natural wine refrigerator and in 2000 it was once again instated as a
natural aging and maturation cellar for The Cave’s superb wine and brandy.
