1. A student will individually do an environmental mapping of his/her own
place/barangay/village/community. 2. He/she shall formulate the title of the project. 3. The aim of the service learning on the environment is to discover the history of the place which includes the situation of the terrain before and after settlement of the people. It also includes perennial problems being encountered in the community like flooding, hot weather, lack of vegetation, dirty canals/streams and the like. 4. The student can conduct interviews to his/her place or research on available materials. 5. He/she will apply the concepts and principles learned in Big History specifically the thresholds discussed. 6. He/she will also need to be aware of the ISLOs(Institutional Student Learning Outcomes) in the implementation of the project. The ISLOs shall be included in the reflection portion of the project. 7. The student shall use the prescribed template of the BH service learning plan. 8. The student is also expected to disseminate the information that he/she will be able to gather either through the social media like Facebook, Instagram or to the concern citizens or stakeholders like the barangay officials or village officials. 9. The student is also expected to document the service learning by taking pictures of his/her engagements in the project. 10. The submission of the BH Service Plan will be on the Midterm Examination Week to be announced by the faculty in charge.
