In Section 6 stated that Filipino is the national language of the Philippines. It will be
progressively expanded and extended as time goes on, based on current Philippine and other
languages and the official languages of the Philippines are Filipino and, unless otherwise
authorized by law, English for communication and teaching.

b. What are challenges in the implementation of these policies?

According to the analysis, the policy's instability is worsened by long-term problems such as
poor teacher professionalism, improper use of classroom curriculum, a lack of suitable classroom
equipment, and inadequately prepared teachers to teach in the mother tongue. Moreover, In the
Philippines, English language teaching is commonly affected by poor academic achievement
among Filipino students. Poverty, a lack of school facilities, trained teachers, and learning
materials are all contributing causes (Madrunio, Martin, & Plata, 2016).

c. What are current issues governing the use of language in public schools?

When it comes to Language Education , Philippines has a number of issues:

 METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES.
 SECOND LANGUAGE ACQUISITION.
 CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES AND REFLECTIONS ON
PRACTICE.
 MATERIALS AND RESOURCES IN EFL - DESIGN, CREATION,
ADAPTATION AND EVALUATION.
 CONTENT & LANGUAGE INTEGRATED LEARNING.

D. Over the years, how have these policies aid government institutions in upholding
and propagating the national Language.
