Subject : Prevention of Covid-19 Transmission in Badak LNG Terminal

Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Penyakit no. HK.02.02/II/753/2020 (3 Pages).

Dear Sir,

Referring to the Badak LNG’s operating procedure, to prevent and mitigate the transmission of corona virus
from LNG ship, the following are procedure to be applied in Badak LNG Terminal:
1. Ship’s Captain reports the arrival of the ship and the condition of the sick ship’s crew member (if any) to
Bontang Radio.
2. Bontang Radio forwards the report to Badak LNG’s Port Facilities Safety Officer (PFSO), Badak LNG’s
Production Planning and also Pertamina Transkontinental.
3. Badak LNG’s PFSO forwards it to Kantor Kesehatan Pelabuhan/Port Health Office (KKP) and Kantor
Syahbandar dan Otoritas Pelabuhan/Port Authority (KSOP).
4. KKP inspects the health condition of all ship’s crew member, ship condition and goods and issue the
Certificate of Pratique to KSOP.
5. If there are any ship’s crew:
 With symptom (fever >38oC/cough/cold/sore throat) and/or has history of traveling from
infected country, contact/work with the confirmed COVID-19 patient.
 Without symptom and has history of traveling from infected country, contact/work with the
confirmed COVID-19 patient.
a. KKP will verify the health condition of ship’s crew members by sending KKP’s team to the ship. KKP’s
personnel on board will send a verification report to KSOP, PFSO and Ship Agent. KKP will ask KSOP
and PFSO to activate the Port Health Contingency Plans.
b. PFSO will report the health condition of ship’s crew members to Badak LNG’s Management,
Production Planning, KSOP and other related parties for further coordination.
c. Sick ship’s crew member will be transferred to the pickup tugboat for evacuation to the shore and
treated at the referred hospital in Bontang area.
d. The remaining ship’s crew members will be quarantined for observation with KKP personnel on
board in the anchorage area. KKP will verify the health condition of all ship’s crew member, ship
condition and goods, before the ship set sail again.
e. KSOP as the port authority will decide whether the ship may set sail or not.

Refers to the attached letters, during health emergency condition, even though there is no indication of sick
ship’s crew member, all ship’s crew members are not allowed to go ashore and need to remain on board
during visit to TUKS LNG & LPG Bontang PT Pertamina (Persero) / Badak LNG Terminal.

As of this letter is issued, this procedure will be applied to all ships entering Badak LNG Terminal. PTB will
inform related parties if there is any change in this procedure.
