PBA REQUIREMENTS FOR SERVICES
• Major General Surgery
• Surgery that involves major disruption of the peritoneal cavity
or involvement of superficial tissues. It poses a higher risk for
morbidity and mortality than minor surgery.
• This includes minimally invasive and open surgeries.

• Increased from 250 to 300 per resident
