1, Tính từ là gì? (What is adjective?): Tính từ là các từ dùng để miêu tả đặc
điểm, đặc trưng, tính cách của người, vật hay sự kiện nào đó. Tính từ để bổ
nghĩa cho danh từ. Tính từ thường đi sau động từ “tobe” hoặc trước danh từ
(noun – n)
Ví dụ: This girl is intelligent.
This intelligent girl is my best friend.
2, Một số ví dụ về tính từ: nice, big, small, long, short, confident, intelligent,
clever, smart, silly, happy, thirsty
3, Tính từ ngắn: Là tính từ có một âm tiết hoặc 2 âm tiết có chữ “y” ở cuối:
VD: 1 âm tiết: big, small, short, tall, strong, cold, hot
2 âm tiết có chữ y ở cuối: happy, friendly, hungry, angry, lovely, thirsty,
pretty.
