With the fast pace of modern life, more and more parents are sending children to boarding school.

While this trend may bring some benefits, it does not help children feel the love of family when they

have to study and live entirely at boarding school.

It is argued by some that sending children to boarding school helps them be disciplined. First,

boarding school helps them learn to live independently. For example, children take care of

themselves such as buying food, tidying room and building a suitable schedule. Second, children can

have lifetime relationships. That is because they have to eat, sleep and do activities together which

may keep deeper bond than in normal school.

Opponents show their concern that children who study at boarding school do not get adequate care.

In terms of self, parents cannot control whether their children are bullied. Then, they become lonely

and homesick because of lack of loved ones. As for financial, expenses are high, and only wealthy

families can afford them. If they try to follow a trend, their children become destitute not only

emotionally but also physically.

In conclusion, while boarding school may help children live independently, it may also present them

some difficult in learn and shape personalities.
