ed Remove and install
1 Remove cylinder head cover.
2 Position piston of cylinder 1 to ignition TDC.
3 Lock inlet camshaft (1) with retaining pin (3).
g Inspecting
4 Check basic position of the camshaft.
5 Install in the reverse order.

p Rotate engine at crankshaft in clockwise
direction. Do not crank engine at camshaft
and do not crank back.

i Insert retaining pin (3) at 1st camshaft
bearing cap into the hole (A) in the inlet cam-
shaft sprocket.
p The two holes (B) in the sprockets of the
camshafts (1) and (2) must be positioned
opposite and the markings of camshaft and
camshaft bearing cap must be aligned
(arrows). If necessary, after inspecting ↓
Adjust basic position of camshafts. AR05.20-B-6025A
