Use these terms and definitions below to understand concepts taught in the course.

Term Definition

calculated field A new field created from existing data, using custom calculations

data pivoting A data analysis technique that rearranges rows into columns, usually
aggregating multiple values into a single cell

histogram A data visualization format that uses bars to represent the number of
items found in every range

responsive design A visual design approach that assures proper content rendering on
different screen sizes

scatter plot A type of chart used for visualizing the correlation between two
variables

treemap A data visualization format that displays hierarchical data and

quantities, using nested rectangles

Unified Resource A reference or hyperlink to a web resource
