Notes on Plea Bargaining:

- rules shall be liberally construed in order to promote their object and to assist
the parties in obtaining just, speedy, and inexpensive determination of every action.

- such an admission of guilt by the accused indicates his submission to the law
and a moral disposition on his part to reform. (Vide: People vs. Coronel, G.R. No. L-
19091, June 30, 1966)
