Procedure for Engaging the Newly Recruited Teachers
Following the recruitment of new teachers at The University of Bamenda by Prime
Ministerial Communique No. 001/SG/PM of 13 December 2019 within the
framework of the Special Recruitment of 1000 University Teachers for the 2019
exercise, Heads of Establishment are kindly request to make arrangements to engage
them as follows:

Each Teacher shall present to the Head of Establishment the originals of all
certificates especially the PhD/Doctorat certificate for verification.
Once the documents are judged to be authentic, the Teacher shall be given the
list of documents to certify, compile and bring to the Head of Establishment.
This list is available at the Directorate of Academic Affairs and shall be
provided to all Deans/ Directors.
. The Teacher is then issued an assumption of duty certificate by the
Dean/ Director and directed to take all the certified documents to the Director
of Academic Affairs.
. Deans and Directors shall revise the course assignments for the 2019/2020
academic year to ensure that these new colleagues are assigned sufficient
teaching load with effect from January 2020 once the University resumes after
the New Year Public holiday.
. Deans and Directors shall also give a copy of the Concept Note for the training
seminar to each newly recruited teacher.
. When in doubt, please consult with the DVC/TIC who has been fully
instructed to compile any difficulties and present these to the Vice-Chancellor
promptly.
