For the first artwork, which from proportional role play in sketch art 2, I used the vanishing point

to fix the perspective of the pillars. I used soft shading for shading the pillar surface and have

minimal shading for the rest of the piece. The 2 pillars, one in the foreground and one behind it.

The one in the back has spared of a lot of details as I had to rush through the sketch at the last

minute. When creating the structure, the sketch, I used simple geometry such as cubes and

cylinders to convey my proportions and shape. The pillars mostly consisted of straight edges,

making it easy to sketch out with just a pencil and the vanishing point technique. I left the lines

from to the vanishing point on the sketch because it helps convey a 3-dimensional look and

provide the sketch with a solid foundation to work off. That is it for my summary of the first

sketch work.

The second artwork is a representation of a boat in a foggy environment. The boat itself is really

simple geometrically; it was made to be simplified from the original sketch. I used varying colors

on the boat to convey better contrast with the rest of the sketch, and to separate the boat from

the sketch. For the background, which is a mountain, I used soft shading. I first put down a soft

graphite layer using the blending tool, and then I emphasized the shape of the mountain by

going over the borders with an eraser. I made the sky blend in with the water below to create a

foggy feeling in the sketch. The piece has a lot of blank parts that has not been touched by a

pencil at all; in fact, a large part of the sketch is completely unfilled and blank, which also

conveys the misty, foggy look.
