I agree, nowadays it is more common for people to be judged by their material and social status.
A person who has expensive or branded materials will be more valued and more respected in the
community. Honor, respect, and trust don’t share the same value as it's used to in our society. The
reason varies, some may befriend those for private benefits, such as free bags, shoes, and much more. I
believe that we should go back to the way it was, where respect and trust are earned and where respect
is more valued than materials.

In the era that we live in, where judgement is made by and towards each other, we pick our friends
based on how they treat us, while another important factor is what they offer also and how it can
benefit us in the process. It is difficult to hold ourselves and not judge others. We often judge people
based on their looks and determine by ourselves whether he or she is worth it for us. It is a common
problem in this new era of society.

In short, a person will think twice about friending a person whose social values are low, as a person
might those can and may bring them down to degrade their social values. A person who is wealthy and
successful most likely will not befriend someone who is below their social level. Society and its value
have changed. I personally believed that it is better to value someone based on their trust and respect
towards us, and not based on their materials and social status.
