Simply hearing and reading the word "Bible" instils such reverence in one's mind that it must be

revered in every way. Learning the Bible by itself has helped me appreciate and respect it
unconditionally. And studying its etymology, definition, and name in a language I understand
makes me realize that the Bible is not to be taken for granted. All of these emotions I felt with
only a rudimentary understanding of the Bible's etymology and definition.
Now, in Religious Education 1, the learning module introduces some of the Bible's various
etymologies, definitions, and other names. Other aspects of the Bible fascinate me to a great
extent. Learning this hasn't diminished my admiration and respect for the Bible; in fact, it has
increased my regard for it a hundredfold.
This is because I discovered that while the Bible has seen numerous changes in terms of
manuscripts and languages, its power to touch people's hearts has remained constant. The Bible
has remained unchanged from the beginning to the present. The Bible's outer physics and
language may alter dramatically, but this has no bearing on what it can do for people and the
world.
